More Paris fun!
Today was a “shop till you drop” day! We started at one of my favorite stores in Paris, Merci. It’s called a concept store, where they highlight new designers and give their profits to charity. I bought a great linen jacket for my husband to give me for my birthday when we get back… he was thrilled and amazed that he was such a good shopper while sleeping and so far away! He is talented that way!
Suzanne bought Annick Goutal cologne and has decided she will never wear anything else. We all had our pictures taken in front of the small Volkswagen that sets in the courtyard before the entrance to the store.
Next it was back to the main shopping district of Marais, where we headed over to COS. COS always has the newest looks, but at affordable prices.
In Paris the government only allows the stores to have sales two times a year. We were lucky that this is one of those times. We stopped at several small boutiques and then we headed over to St. Germain for a drink at Les Dues Magots, a very famous brasserie across from the medieval St. Germain church. We shopped a bit more around the Latin Quarter and then found a nice little restaurant for dinner.
Tomorrow, Mauri , Becky and Sara got to Versailles. Suzanne and I have been, so we will meet them for lunch somewhere.
